PVC describes the polymer
PVC means polyvinyl chloride. It does not, by itself, say whether a film is cast or calendered. Manufacturers offer different constructions for different applications. For example, Avery Dennison distinguishes cast and calendered products in its film-selection guidance. Read the actual product sheet before judging suitability.
Check the surface and the shape
Describe whether the project covers relatively flat areas, compound curves or recessed sections. Have the installer compare that requirement with the film’s application instructions. Do not assume that every PVC film is suitable for a complete vehicle wrap.
Review the finished product
The adhesive, surface coating, color and installation conditions are part of the decision. Review the product-specific maintenance and removal instructions as well. An unsupported promise that a whole material category always removes cleanly or always leaves residue is not a useful basis for selecting a product.
Ask about the option you actually need
If you need a PVC option from OptimumWrap, specify the intended application, colors and quantity. Our current color catalog lists TPU; an alternative construction needs a separate availability discussion.
